Neve Console Specs and Information
Why is the Neve 8100 Series so sought after for tracking?
Studio A is equipped with a 48-channel Neve 8108 with Uptown Moving Fader Automation, as well as the Beamish Computer Upgrade. For those unfamiliar
with this upgrade, the Beamish System replaces all of the original on board computer system with a completely stable PC format operating system that is
reliable and easy to use. We use Mackie HR824 Monitors and some heavy hitting JBL 4435 overheads in this room.
What makes this Neve so special?
Neve boards have one feature that defines them...Tone. They are the thickest sounding boards ever made. They have more low end then any other board,
and this low end is dense, and punchy. Neves are also known for the smoothness they have in the other frequency bands where vocals, guitars, for
example, reside. They are known as the most musical of recording consoles. Our Neve is equipped with flying/moving fader automation for fast accurate
mixdowns. Neves specialize as the tracking board of choice. MEAT!
Studio A also features one large fully floating live recording room, which has considerably open grain wood walls and surfaces for that warm tone. One
isolation room accompanies it. Although you can record everything in the large live room, drum sounds are its forte.
There is also a spacious lounge with leather seating and concessions. The engineering room is comfortable and homey. There is a smoking area and you
can order a variety of foods to bring in as well
